Backups & Le Web startups

Currently performing a quick laptop backup with EMC Retrospect. (Running NetWorker at home might be seen as overkill by some people, not me, but some people.), which usually is one of the final tasks I perform the night before I travel anywhere.

Adrianna Tan left her beloved PowerBook in the back of a Taxi earlier this week. If ever there was a reminder to get a disk to disk backup done before leaving the house that would be my one for this month. A bunch of Irish startups are attending Le Web, one or two former EMC employees amongst them so it'll be interesting to see what they've been up to since they left the information infrastructure mothership to blaze their own trail.
